World-tourism-forum-17On May 4-5th, we will have the pleasure to attend the World Tourism Forum in Lucerne as visitor, Switzerland. The Forum aims in gathering CEOs, Ministers and Embassies and investors as well as startups of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

We are excited to learn about the new trends in the travel and tourism sector, as the principal industry where Planify is active (learn how Planify is used in the tourism industry as well as in the incentive travel).

This year, World Tourism Forum has selected young startups for a workshop before the conference. Four of them will be selected by a jury comprising travel entrepreneurs like Roland Zeller (who founded travel.ch, Switzerland’s largest travel agency) and Sam Friend (who leaded Wotif to an IPO and who founded TravelCandy, first member only travel deals website in Australia) and  pitching the audience during the conference.

We, at Planify, are always keen to discover new technologies and evaluate if the travel innovation could be implement in our product. Therefore, we thought that you may be interested in the travel and tourism startups present at World Economic Forum 17 are the following:
